Brief thoughts that I had in my mind for quite a long time, but never been able to transcribe it into words. As usual disclaimer, these are based on my observations in the pen spinning space and media. I cannot deny the possibility that I have mislooked, or been misinformed or simply forgotten that a particular phenomena that could easily refute against my thoughts below.
As the title suggests, this is about World Records in Pen Spinning.
Never had personal interest, but I do recognize that it has its place in the pen spinning community.
From a google search I have found out that there are some individuals who have managed to successfully register their pen spinning record achievements on the official Guiness World Records. One who did the most fingerpasses in one minute, and one who did the most thumbarounds in one minute.
Most pen spins around the thumb in one minute | Guinness World Records
Most spinning pen fingerpasses in one minute | ギネス世界記録
I found it interesting that the 1st World Record is amount of thumbarounds in one minute instead of how many thumbarounds has been done continuously under one minute. Like Wenyu's record, the general expectation is to do the tricks continously without dropping the pen in the process.
Another media I found was from Pearl where he has uploaded fragments of pen spinning world records scattered across the streaming websites, which were presumably collected into one video.
The above was just some discoveries I wanted to share before I got into writing this post.
